The HEARTS Lab focuses on an intersectional critique of sport, while foregrounding the lived experiences of Black athletes.
Established in 2024, we are housed at Duke University and led by Dr. Tracie Canada.
We are particularly interested in recruiting and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students who belong to groups historically underrepresented in the academy.
